I have been a member of PADA and a regular park-goer for over 8 years now. As a young member of this community, I would like to display how Edgely Ultimate Fields have aided and assisted me continuously over the years. I first joined PADA my freshman year of high school. I was 14 years old at the time and thought I was just playing a sport as any other athlete. I was entirely unaware of the possibilities and opportunities that this community would offer. I was able to discover unique athletic abilities and talent within the community with the many camps and events that were hosted on these fields. These events soon offered opportunities to travel for play, with financial assistance, which I was extremely grateful for. Opportunities continued to roll in as I got older, with a chance to serve on PADA’s board of directors. This community has been nothing but a safe haven for one to grow and flourish. I have made a plethora of lifetime friends and an unforgettable amount of friendly faces. This community has generously offered me a home and Edgely Ultimate Fields are the yards of which it stands on.

Friends of Fairmount was created to combat the loss of green space in Fairmount Park without due process. Our group is aimed at correcting the loss of representation that occurred when the Fairmount Park Commission was abolished. Reestablish civic engagement on matters in the park that we see being made exclusively by politicians.
